The Arizona Summers Mysteries

The body of a woman who insulted everyone she met on her short trip to Moonstone Lake is found floating in the lake. Is it a murder or an accident? Arizona Summers and her psychic dog Nutmeg love to solve crimes. The new chief Keith Wesley makes it clear he doesn’t want her help. Once he realizes Arizona is the go-to person with whom the townspeople share their deepest and darkest secrets. Liz ran as fast as she could to get to Ary's house. She was covered in blood - her ex-husband's blood. Now, Arizona Summers, also known as Ary, and Chief of Police Keith Wesley are out to find a killer. Arizona's dog, Nutmeg, is invaluable to the mystery and finds things others can't see. Meanwhile, Ary's mom, Emma, has outdone herself - this time ending up in jail - and Aunt Sandy meets a love interest.

Arizona Summers has three loves: running the family-owned restaurant at Moonstone Lake, helping Sheriff Keith Wesley solve crimes, and the new hobby of photography. The first of her pictures reveals a body in the woods. After closer inspection, the death is ruled murder by crossbow, just like many other bodies found over the years near Moonstone Lake. The only thing they have in common is they all hunted at Goliath Deer Reserve, and none of their possessions or their vehicles were ever seen again.

For 25 years, Moonstone Lake has hosted a Christmas Festival of Light. They have crafters and food trucks from every state. This year was their biggest, with over 200 crafters and 20 food trucks. It usually runs from the 15th of December to New Year’s Day. This year is different. Before the celebration begins, there is a murder inside the motel room of one of the crafters. There is no way to connect the women in the room to the dead man. The investigation takes a turn when a sniper begins to pick off citizens from rooftops.
