Shipwreck Cafe

Jay Hallett leaves a flourishing law career in Boston to return to his hometown of Anchor Point on Cape Cod. He secretly purchases the local lighthouse and surrounding property to open The Shipwreck Cafe. Rich in history, the lighthouse is rumored to be haunted by multiple ghosts and hiding a buried treasure worth millions. But when two murders in as many weeks transpire in Anchor Point, Jay must discover who is killing the locals and why.

Summer had passed, and the holidays were fast approaching. Everyone at the Shipwreck Cafe was getting ready for The Seashells and Christmas Bells Ball. Jay, true to his word, delivers a letter to the selectman of Anchor Point stating his intentions of taking his privately owned beach and parking lot back from town use. Sid Swann, a selectman used to getting his own way, confronts Jay in public about his decision and heated words are exchanged. The next morning, Sid is found murdered in his office at the town hall and Jay is the number one suspect.

Winter in Anchor Point is quiet. Most businesses are closed in the off season, so when Jay organizes a Saint Patrick's Day party at the Shipwreck Cafe, the locals jump at the chance to attend. The party is going great when it is brought to Jay's attention that his brother, Robbie, has disappeared. The celebration is shut down a short while later when Phil Cook, the local jeweler, drops dead on the floor in front of the bar.

Good weather is returning to Anchor Point. Jay has been coaxed by his mother into giving his cousin, Jenny the Jinx, a summer job. Robbie doesn't want her around after she set fire to her school. He is afraid the same thing will happen at the cafe. The renovations have begun on the bed and breakfast building. The first day of work, a skeleton is found concealed in one of the walls. Who is he and how did he get he there? Roland knows but refuses to tell anyone anything. Could the resident ghost be a murderer? Jay won't give up until he finds the answers.
