Shattered Galaxies

So I forgot to update my phone. Big deal. Only there’s a glitch and an app opens a portal to another planet! Because that makes sense. Now I’m stuck on an alien planet with a grumpy prince. His eyes turn black when he’s upset. He can manipulate the shadows and grow a pair of massive, inky wings. I mean, sure, he’s hot, and he saved me from a pack of monsters, but I don’t trust anything about this place, let alone a surly alien. I’m going to find a way home.

The universe always has a plan. One minute, I’m chilling out in the closet, drinking champagne, and about to order a pizza. The next, I’m transported to another planet with sweeping red dunes, crimson mountains, and pastel wildlife that make me question if my champagne was laced. Every time I babbled to the night sky on my wobbly rooftop lounger, I didn’t actually think someone else, in a far-off galaxy, might be doing the same thing. Turns out, I was wrong.

Baris has sacrificed his health to bring peace to the kingdom. He has always put the needs of the crown above his own, even entering into a loveless marriage for a political alliance. He bore it all with stoic dignity. Now the queen is dead and he must select a new queen. Someone who brings wealth or influence. Someone with the approval of the council. So why can’t he stop thinking of the human doctor with the fine eyes? He rescued her when a portal dumped her on a wild moon and he may have made some unflattering remarks about her person.
