Sunny Haddock, an animal-loving vegetarian psychic, is stoked to leave California behind to start a new life in the Ozark town of Peculiar with her best friend Chavvah Trimmel. She ups the moving date when Chav goes missing, and Sunny high tails it to the small town. What Sunny doesn't realize is that she's moving into a community of were-shifters, and they don't want a human resident.

You'll never hear anyone who knows me say, "Boy, that Sunny Haddock sure is a quitter.” I’m no defeatist. But, lately, it hasn’t been easy to see the glass half full. Her best friend, Sunny, is happily married and knee-deep in baby poop. All Chavvah wants to do is focus on the future and forget about the past. When the Tri-State Council of therianthropes decides to hold their annual jubilee in Peculiar, Chavvah is stoked.

Four days before Halloween, and poor Sunny Haddock is pregnant...again...but her body isn't the only thing haunting her. She is getting psychic visions of classic horror monsters getting stalked by the invisible man. With each new incident, his actions are getting more deadly. Can she figure out the mystery before someone she cares about becomes the next victim?

When an anonymous whistleblower from Peculiar, Missouri, alleges that the mayor’s wife is a fraud, the Shifter Tri-State Council sends one of their best investigators: werebobcat Wilhelmina “Willy” Boden. Willy’s reluctant to investigate her friends who live in the small shifter town, especially handsome werecoyote Brady Corman - but she has a job to do.

When I am assigned my first case, a dangerous serial killer known as Little Piggy, I am thrilled and excited to put my profiler skills to the test. I might have an advanced degree in psychology and graduated top of my class at Quantico, but my partner, the oh-so-yummy senior field agent and werebear Dominic Tartan, acts like I’m still in school. Half the time he acts like he wants to ditch me, the other half of the time I’m pretty sure he wants to kiss me.

The only thing I want more than to marry Billy Bob is to have his baby, but since that ship has sailed thanks to prior trauma, I’m just happy to get him down the aisle. The date is set for the winter solstice, but a challenge from an unexpected guest is turning my special day into a fight-club nightmare. I’ve already had to postpone my wedding twice, and I’m starting to think fate hates my guts.
