New Sentinels

While out celebrating her 21st birthday, Angelina Drake finds herself immersed in a curse that goes back generations, to the time when the first Djinn terrorized the world. She has to fight for her life and her friends when an old evil comes knocking. The wishes of the people around her just complicate the situation as she can hear them all, spoken or not. When she finds herself with wings as a result of an errant wish, she must enlist the help of some new friends to try to end the curse that plagues her line.

Called in for a consult to an excavation at a suspected temple of Anubis, god of the underworld, she is embroiled in a series of fantastical events. Her dreams are filled with visions of a deadly woman with a jackal's head, committing the murders attributed to a serial killer called the Pharaoh, leaving the victims as mummified husks.

Angel and the other Sentinels are in pursuit of the remains of the now-rogue black ops Lazarus Group and its leader Xerxes, the ancient warlord who has used the enslavement of lesser Djinn for centuries to secure power and unnaturally long life. Lazarus has teamed up with the nemeses of the Sentinels in a last-ditch effort to awaken the last Greater Djinn, a Shaytan, to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
