Morgue Drawer

Shy, but scrupulous, he is happy working as a coroner in the Cologne morgue - until one of his usually taciturn “clients” starts talking to him. It seems the ghost of a recently deceased (and surprisingly chatty) small-time car thief named Pascha is lingering near his lifeless body in drawer number four of Martin’s morgue. He remains for one reason: his accidental death was actually murder. Pascha isn’t too keen on the good doctor, considering the tidy manner in which his body was dissected upon the autopsy table.

As crime-fighting teams go, Dr. Martin Gänsewein and Pascha are an unlikely pair. Martin is a shy, scrupulous forensic pathologist who spends his days autopsying dead bodies, while Pascha is the gregarious ghost of a former car thief whose murder Martin reluctantly helped solve. After narrowly surviving that adventure, Martin wants nothing more than a little peace and quiet. Unfortunately, the good doctor is out of luck thanks to the arrival of Marlene, the spirit of a nun killed in a fire that ravaged her medieval convent and home.

Dr. Martin Gänsewein wishes only to return to his simple and peaceful life as coroner; unfortunately his undead partner, Pascha, has other plans. When bodies at the local cemetery begin turning up sans organs, Martin and Pascha are propelled into their most dangerous mystery yet. As organs disappear at a rapid rate and gruesome threats pile up, Martin realizes his only chance for survival could be with the one person he wants to be rid of.

Pascha, the snarky ghost of a deceased 25-year-old, finds himself stuck between this world and the next with no one to talk to aside from Martin, a coroner with the dubious gift of being able to hear the dead. Since Martin prefers his girlfriend's company to Pascha’s, Pascha is stuck haunting hospital rooms and accident sites hoping to meet a spirit who will stay a while and keep him company.

Amateur sleuth and restless spirit Pascha gets the chance of a post-lifetime when a reporter turns up dead. Detective Gregor Kreidler - a friend of Pascha's crime-fighting partner, coroner Martin Gänsewein - tops the list of suspects for the murder of Susanne Hauschild, who also happens to be Gregor's ex-wife. Martin already has his hands full with his girlfriend - who's ready to give birth any day - and he's too distracted to comb the streets, so Pascha decides to play ghost cop with gusto.
