For seventeen years, Leon lived a sheltered life, on the safe side of the stone wall encircling the Kingdom of Isle, behind the white bricks piled high to make up the castle he called home. On his wedding night, on the day he married the love of his life, tragedy befalls the Kingdom’s new Prince. With his wife’s life on the line, he must venture out into a world that means him harm. He must do as he was told by a stranger sent by a mysterious Warlock holed up in a cave at the top of Mount Procella: He must journey due north.

He must look the dangerous world in the eye and push forward, no matter what may stand in his way. He’ll be up against nature’s full arsenal of weapons: Water, earth, wind, and fire. He’ll be up against magic he never knew existed: Beasts and beings he thought could only appear in his wildest dreams. He will spill blood. He will spill sweat and tears in abundance. But there is only one way he can save his wife, only one way to bring her back to life: He must journey due north.
