Thousands of years ago, Elimelech, his wife, Naomi, and their two sons flee Bethlehem's famine when they move to Moab. When Elimelech dies, Naomi encourages her sons to marry local women. Unexpectedly, her sons die, too. Now, Naomi and her childless daughters-in-law must fend for themselves.

Thousands of years ago, Abishag, a farmer's daughter, left her home and family in Sulam to become a handmaiden to King David. Even while she served the wise and fatherly king, she yearned for romance and marriage. Then, when King David died, instead of remaining in the royal harem, Abishag returned to Sulam - but she soon realized it was a mistake to go home. In despair, she knew of only one safe place to flee: the king's palace.

A Home for Hava is inspired by the biblical story in the book of Judges about Jephthah's vow to God. Thousands of years ago, Israel was ruled by judges during a turbulent time when the people of Israel strayed from God into idolatry and other beliefs. Jephthah was one of Israel's judges...and one of God's faithful.
