Cotton Cooper Series

The tree that Cotton Cooper was sleeping under as an infant was struck by lightning. As a result, his hair is white (the color of cotton). He is a young man now, but his reflexes are ultrafast. He hears better and sees sharper than the average person. He travels west to visit his brother Paul, who is a captain in the cavalry at Fort Laramie. While visiting, his brother gets orders to take a company of men and help 600 Pawnee Indians move south to the town of Pawnee in Indian Territory.

When Cotton Cooper was an infant, his mother had him resting on a goose down pillow under an oak tree. The tree was struck by lightning. As a result, his hair is white (the color of cotton). He is a young man now, but his reflexes are ultra fast and he hears and sees sharper than the average person.

In this exciting adventure, Cotton is joined by Deputy Marshal Frank Golden of Texas, Deputy Marshal Justin Dyer of Cedar Ridge, and riders from the Flying W ranch as they fight Indians and track down the notorious killer Texas Red and his gang of robbers and cattle rustlers and put a stop to their activities that have been plaguing the people of Wyoming for the past several years. Texas Red has gunned down four marshals.

In this exciting adventure, Cotton is joined by Deputy Marshal Frank Golden of Texas and Deputy Marshal Justin Dryer as they attempt to solve the mystery of cattle disappearing from the range in Eastern Wyoming, Western Nebraska, and Northern Colorado. A wealthy cattle baron in Nebraska is trying to take over the entire area, driving out settlers and small ranchers, stealing their stock, and burning their homes.
