Amish Lantern Mystery

The small-town Amish community has always been peaceful and quiet. But everything turns to chaos when the sheriff is found dead, and Moses Schrock is accused of his murder.

Levi expects to meet Ruby at their secret spot in the woods, but she is nowhere to be found. Due to a disagreement earlier that day at the breakfast table, Ruby’s father is faced with a battle of pride as the bishop of the Amish community. But when Ruby doesn’t come home for dinner, he and his wife begin to worry that Ruby’s disappearance might be more than just a teenage temper tantrum. The new sheriff of Little Valley works hard to uncover all the secrets surrounding Ruby’s disappearance and rebuild the community’s confidence in the law.

The Amish community in Little Valley is facing big changes and big threats with tourism booming. It becomes clear that some of the new businesses want control of the market, and it looks like they are willing to go to great lengths to get it. With one barn after another set on fire in the middle of the night, it becomes personal, and the community is scared for the well-being of their families and their future in the small town.

Hazel Thompson is found dead in Little Valley’s now-famous Amish Inn, and there’s a long list of suspects with plenty of motive. Much to the dismay of the Amish community, the sheriff’s prime suspect is Eva Zook, the owner of the new Amish bakery. Twin sisters, Anna Miller and Beth Troyer, find themselves once again faced with clearing their family’s name. But things become even more complicated than ever before since the murder weapon has Eva’s prints all over it.

Jessica McLean opens shop to find a man has been left for dead on the floor of her diner. With very few clues left behind, Jessica becomes the prime suspect. But Amish twin sisters and amateur sleuths, Beth and Anna, wonder if the crime could be related to Jessica’s new relationship with their beloved Matthew Beiler. It soon becomes clear that things aren’t always as they seem. Will the sisters step in and solve the mystery, bringing justice to Little Valley yet again?

The Little Valley library is shutting its doors due to a terrible combination of anonymous threats and a lack of funding. The sheriff is stumped in the investigation of who is sending the threats, so amateur sleuths, Anna and Beth, step in to help.
