Most days it feels like I'm flying blind. Every new conflict that arises requires me to deny my own instincts, to re-parent myself, and to re-write my own DNA. Like my parents, I'm impatient, easily agitated, and filled with anxiety… and I'm the absolute last person you would think of when trying to envision a positive role-model or a father figure. So how is someone like me supposed to do this? Where does someone that doesn't have those previous generations of positive examples and father figures go to get answers? How does someone like me "find fatherhood"?
