The Sutra of Forty-Two Chapters is a succinct summary doctrine by which Buddhism was introduced to China. Each of the 42 sutras begins with "the Buddha said" This particular sutra deals with The 20 Difficult Things to Accomplish in this World and Osho takes us through each verse, and dissects it line by line, never omitting to explain - in clear modern terms - the real meaning of the verses.

Ahankari vyakti pratipal isi hisab me laga rahta hai ki kis tarah se mere ahankar ko jyada sahara milega. Akad kar khada rahu, kisi ke samne na jhuku, chehre ko bilkul patthar ki murti bana lu, isase milega? Ya phir vinamrata se labh milega to vah vinamar hone ko bhi taiyar hai. Is ahankar se bachiye, yah maharog hai.

The Sutra of 42 Chapters is a scripture complied in the first century CE. Each saying comes from Buddha, but the whole work was a new anthology created especially for introducing Buddhism in a new country. That’s why it makes such a good, basic introduction to the world view of Gautam Buddha.

La nostra vita poggia sulle intuizioni dei pochi che si sono tuffati nell'esistenza restando attenti e presenti, così da cogliere la realtà nella sua essenza... riuscendo poi a comunicarla. Nella tradizione greca quei tuffatori insigni erano chiamati “i sapienti”. E tra loro Eraclito spicca per lucidità e oscurità, regalandoci perle di comprensione d'eccezione, come questa: Esiste un'armonia nell'attrito come nel caso dell'archetto e della lira.

Il Profeta - il capolavoro di Kahlil Gibran - sottolineando che "nell'intera letteratura del mondo esistono pochissime affermazioni che abbiano altrettanta bellezza, verità e sincerità." Per poi chiedersi quali responsabilità ciascuno di noi è chiamato ad assumersi, per cambiare davvero la situazione.

Il bisogno di ritrovarsi, di sentirsi in pace con se stessi: questi i fili conduttori delle risposte di Osho alle domande di persone che l'hanno avvicinato perché si sono ritrovate a fare i conti con la necessità di scoprire una via per uscire da una crisi esistenziale o da un conflitto ingestibile; o per risolvere l'ansia dovuta a una sottile sensazione di "mancanza" indefinibile, eppure innegabile.

Le aspirazioni più alte delle ultime generazioni, sono avvicinate da Osho con uno sguardo consapevole e trasformate in una proposta di reale evoluzione. La crisi di una civiltà, da decenni ritenuta al tramonto, è vista come un'opportunità di uscire alla luce di un essere rinnovato. Una proposta che Osho ha lanciato a una civiltà intossicata da benessere e consumi, suggerendo una trasformazione alchemica in grado di portare un equilibrio indispensabile, anche per la salute del pianeta che ci ospita.
