Charles Spurgeon, the Prince of Preachers, pastored the Metropolitan Tabernacle for 38 years, and spent many of those years in a state of powerful revival. Few if any preachers of the Word ever have preached the Gospel of the grace of God with greater clarity. These excerpts serve as 1) an introduction to the writings of Spurgeon, 2) a refreshing reminder of the glories of the Lord, and 3) a summary of the doctrines proclaimed by this outstanding man of God.
