Sigmund Freud, nació el 6 de mayo de 1856. En una pequeña localidad de Moraviallamada Freiberg. Su padre fue un comerciante de lana con una mente muy aguday un buen sentido del humor. Su madre era una mujer activa, vivaz, segunda esposadel padre de Sigmund y 20 años menor que su marido. Tenía 21 años cuando tuvo asu primer hijo, su apreciado Sigmund.

No cabe duda que dicho concepto está próximo a los de lo espantable, angustiante, espeluznante, pero no es menos seguro que el término se aplica a menudo en una acepción un tanto indeterminada, de modo que casi siempre coincide con lo angustiante en general. Sin embargo, podemos abrigar la esperanza de que el empleo de un término especial (***siniestro***) de notar determinado concepto, será justificado por el hallazgo en él de un núcleo particular.

El término narcisismo procede de la descripción clínica, y fue elegido en 1899, por Paul Näcke para designar aquellos casos en los que el individuo toma como objeto sexual su propio cuerpo, y lo contempla con agrado, lo acaricia y lo besa hasta llegar a una completa satisfacción. Llevado a este punto, el narcisismo constituye una gran perversión que ha acaparado toda la vida sexual del sujeto, cumpliéndose en ella todas las condiciones que nos ha revelado el gran estudio general de las perversiones.

Las personas que realizan actos obsesivos o desarrollan un ceremonial pertenecen, junto con aquellas que sufren de representaciones o impulsos obsesivos, a una unidad clínica especial, designada habitualmente con el nombre de neurosis obsesiva. Mas no ha de pretenderse derivar de tal denominación la peculiaridad de esta dolencia, pues en rigor también otrosdistintos fenómenos psicopatológicos presentan el llamado carácter obsesivo.
