Upon learning a cousin is suspected of murder, potter Shandra Higheagle travels to the Colville Reservation to support her family in any way she can, including the insight she receives from her Nez Perce grandmother in dreams. When the tribal police and FBI refuse to look for additional clues or suspects, Shandra becomes even more determined to uncover the truth.

One of Dela’s best friends from the Army is also at the casino and they catch up. The next morning, Dela finds her friend strangled.

When FBI Special Agent Quinn Pierce is called in and Tribal Officer Heath Seaver is forbidden to work the case, Dela decides to find the killer.

When an employee at the Spotted Pony Casino is caught leaving early, Dela Alvaro, head of security, confronts the woman. The lies the woman tells only piques Dela’s curiosity. After witnessing the employee threaten a man, she is found murdered in her car parked in the driveway of her home.

Using her dreams, Shandra helps locate the missing twins whom they take into their home as foster children. The hunt for the reason the parents were murdered becomes urgent when the children reveal they may have seen the killer.
