Den engelske middelalder-litteraturs udødelige mesterværk i moderne dansk genfortælling ved Mogens Boisen. Geoffrey Chaucer er en af middelalderlitteraturs helt store forfattere og hans hovedværk er uden tvivl de populære og underholdende Canterbury-fortællinger. "Canterbury fortællingerne" skrev han i slutningen af 1300-tallet, men nåede desværre ikke at blive færdig inden, han døde i år 1400.
