Hurra, bald ist Weihnachten! Max freut sich schon riesig. Und bis es so weit ist, hat er so viel zu tun, dass die Zeit wie im Flug vergeht: einen Adventskalender für sein Kaninchen Zorro machen, Plätzchen backen, Geschenke für die ganze Familie basteln - und mit Papa und Felix den Weihnachtsbaum besorgen. Das wird ein richtiger Männerausflug! Und dann darf Max übers Wochenende zu seinen Großeltern fahren. Dort ist es immer toll: In der Werkstatt hämmert Max mit Opa um die Wette. Oma kocht leckere Spaghetti.

Max und seine Freunde freuen sich: Die Klassenfahrt steht an! Auf Gut Finkenstein warten spannende Fußballspiele, eine Rallye und eine Geisterstunde auf sie. Das größte Abenteuer aber wird die Suche nach dem spurlos verschwundenen Hund Bob. Typisch Max: Er, Pauline und Nico wissen, was zu tun ist!

Endlich hat Max es geschafft: Er bekommt den gelb-weißen Gürtel im Judo. Dass man Judo nicht außerhalb der Matte anwenden soll, weiß Max. Und trotzdem muss er einen Weg finden, es Ben und Timo heimzuzahlen, die seinen Freund Nico ärgern. Typisch Max: Er findet eine faire Lösung und zeigt den Viertklässlern, dass es keinen Grund gibt, den Mund so voll zu nehmen.

Achtung, fertig, los! Max saust mit seinem Laufrad über den Hof. Aber eigentlich ist er dafür schon zu groß. Max braucht ein richtiges Fahrrad! Zusammen mit Mama repariert er das alte Kinderrad von Felix. Dann heißt es üben, üben, üben... und schon bald fährt Max die ersten Kurven. Dann beschließt Max: "Heute koche ich!" Seine beste Freundin Pauline und sein Bruder Felix machen auch mit. Die Kinder suchen ein Spaghetti-Rezept, legen die Zutaten bereit und dann geht's los. Wie gut, dass Papa und Mama doch ein bisschen helfen.

Max, sein Bruder Felix und Papa wollen Abenteuer erleben wie Robinson Crusoe. Sie planen ein Männerwochenende auf dem Campingplatz: Schlafen im Zelt, Würstchen zum Frühstück und Paddeln auf dem See, inklusive Erkundungstour auf der geheimen Insel. So ist zumindest der Plan. Doch dann verlieren sie ihre Paddel auf dem See, ein Gewitter zieht auf und es bleibt ihnen nichts anderes übrig, als auf der kleinen Insel Schutz zu suchen.
