As the residents of Swenson Castle in Norway watch nervously, the returning are coming out of the sea, a promise made by God just yesterday. Leah made her choice in haste, without forethought, so as Sarah walks out of the water holding Zeal's child, Leah heartbrokenly flees.

Swenson Castle is under assault from old enemies. Freya fights to keep her devoted Immortals and family safe. Even on a beautiful spring day as the sun is shinning, there is evil in the world looking for revenge. Some of the enemies are unseen and can go undetected until they raise their ugly heads to kill. Freya reigns over her domain and stays vigilant, but sometimes the stones are cast at her, when she least expects them. However, she is Immortal Freya, the Viking Warrior of God.

As "Wicked" comes calling the alarm goes out to Freya's army. The scramble for all the ally's to reunite for the fight of their continued existence. Wicked is coming for them all, but Wicked doesn't know they have Devine guidance and are forever Freya's immortals.

Mag stiffened her backbone before glancing up at the slight movement on the third-floor window: A woman, really only a shadow, stood behind the sheer flowing drapes. Mag felt the intense hatred of the glaring face. Shyly lowering her gaze, Mag realized the maid Dansie already hated her too. It had to be Dansie, for Joe said they were the only females there. Thoughts ran through her mind, "Just run, girl," as she hesitated to step up onto the porch. After that step she was obligated to go inside; but east to west, there are woods all around calling to her.
