Every parent's pride and joy over having a baby also ushers in a whole new dynamic in the bedroom. When do we have sex? How do we have any privacy? And as the kids get older, what sexual sensibilities will we impart to my kids? Susie recently held a workshop for moms and dads to talk about how they are raising their kids versus how their parents raised them. They looked at how religion, boundaries, and freaking out all play into family dis/function.

Ever wonder how women were supposed to pee, menstruate, and defecate with their chastity belts locked on and their husbands riding off to the Crusades? Well, put that quandary to bed! As revealed by a Boing Boing article that Susie discusses, the belts were a big joke in the Middle Ages. Today, men still enjoy fantasies about horny women with wild sexual appetites who must be controlled. And for women, the fantasy is "I belong to a cruel master." That's fun modern-day role playing, but actual medieval chastity belts were a myth.

Susie was recently a guest lecturer in a grad-school classroom where she was asked about the history of the feminist divide on pornography. This brought back old memories, including one in particular about how the famous radical writer Andrea Dworkin disagreed with Susie's view on pornography. Dworkin agreed with those who linked violence against women to porn. And back in the 1970s, she responded to an article Susie wrote about fisting. Dworkin wrote that if women were hurt because they tried Susie's violent idea of sex, then...Susie should be arrested!

Susie spends the entire show speaking with legendary porn star Howie Gordon, aka Richard Pacheco. Over his career, Howie appeared in more then 100 X-rated films and videos. Susie and Howie talk about the business of making sex movies: "How is your acting affected when getting an erection becomes difficult?" They talk about open marriages, first loves, and the sexual liberation of the sixties. 

Susie boots 2016 out the door with a final look at the miscreants who rose to power and made a cage fight out of government this year. Ladies and gentlemen, it's the Golden Dukes. Then, In "New on Audible", it's Susan Faludi's In the Darkroom.

Sex Educator Tristan Taormino is making a documentary about sex fantasies, and he's been looking for a second opinion about a scene that may be too taboo, so Susie offers her reaction. The drama is fine, says Susie, but it got her wondering why the fantasy rape depicted in the movie was seen as going too far. Susie compares what's forbidden in the porn industry versus mainstream Hollywood, and the results are surprising. Who do you think is more prudish?

Let's meet a group of women who pick up the pieces when their husbands come out. Susie reads from an article by Chadwick Moore in Out magazine that tells the stories of women dealing with their husbands' changes in sexual preference. Many of these women are devout Christians or from conservative backgrounds. They feel they should remain supportive, even at the sacrifice of their own happiness.
