He’s spent years building Eye Candy Ink into what it is today. While others dated and settled down, he worked, honing his skills until he’s one of the best and most sought after tattoo artists in the world. At 36, he thinks his time to meet someone has passed and he’s resigned to being happy with the family that he’s found at his shop.

Sam Kavan has grown up learning to be tough, at least on the outside. Raised by her dad and two brothers, she’s always seemed to fit in more as one of the guys. Maybe that’s why she's seen as either one of the boys or as a little sister. When she moves to Pittsburgh and starts at Eye Candy Ink, she fits in perfectly, and soon she’s found another family in the men who work at the shop with her.

Love, romance, dating. Mischa Jennings wants no part of any of it. He’s seen up close and personal how love can ruin your life and he’s vowed to stay far away from that emotion. Armed with a set of rules to keep him safe, he’s been going through life just fine. Then Indie Hearst comes bouncing into Eye Candy Ink and turns his whole world upside down. Suddenly, he’s breaking every one of his rules, but it’s okay. He’s not even close to falling for Indie. Right?

I’m a dog person. So, how did I wind up fostering fifteen cats? The answer to that is Winnie Mae. She runs the local animal shelter and when someone starts a fire there, I rescue her and the cats. When she told me that they had nowhere else to go, I volunteered to take them. Why would I do that? Well, because I’m in love with Winnie.

Getting stranded in Clearwater is a disaster for me. I have nowhere to stay, no money, and no friends. Then I see the now hiring sign and I start to get my hopes up. When I go in for my interview and meet Bishop, the grumpy giant who might just be my new boss, I think that maybe my luck is starting to turn.

I don't want a live-in caregiver, though. I don't want anyone to see me struggle, but my brother is worried about me, and I know that he'll insist. When I tell her that I don’t need her, she begs me to let her stay. She needs this job, and so I cave. That's my first mistake.

When my car breaks down one night, I'm sure that I'm about to be murdered. Isn't that how most horror stories start? Instead, I'm saved by a grumpy giant. Jonah isn't much of a talker, but that's okay because I am. He lets me chatter at him as he takes me home, and when he returns with my car that he fixed the next morning, he instantly becomes my hero. Now I just need to convince him that the curvy girl he rescued is also his perfect match.
