Story
My own long experience of African hunting told me at once that every word in this thrilling narrative was absolutely true. Nay more: I knew that the author had told his story in a most modest manner, laying but little stress on the dangers he had run when sitting up at nights to try and compass the death of the terrible man-eaters, especially on that one occasion when whilst watching from a very light scaffolding, supported only by four rickety poles, he was himself stalked by one of the dread beasts.

Story
Henry Lawson's works, along with those of Banjo Paterson, have become an essential part of the Australian literary tradition. Henry Lawson's storytelling focuses on the bush, on droving and shearing, on the characters and resilience of life in the outback. Born in a tent on the Grenfell goldfields in 1867, Lawson could well remember the roaring days of the gold rush and the life of pioneers.

Story
In this classic, romantic ghost story, a governess on a remote country estate begins to believe her charges are possessed by the spirits of 2 dead former servants. Are her perceptions simply the fruit of her neuroses - or could they possibly be valid? A foray into the very heart of evil, Henry James's masterful novel is also remarkable for its psychological acuity and evocation of mood.

A year ago, a devastating bushfire ripped Annie's world apart—killing her grandmother, traumatizing her young daughter and leaving her mother's home in the mountains half-destroyed. Annie fled back to the city, but the mountain continues to haunt her. Now, drawn by a call for help from her uncle, she's going back to the place she loves most in the world, to try to heal herself, her marriage, her daughter and her mother.
