Após a morte de seu pai, um comerciante rico, o filho herdou uma grande fortuna, que foi gasta rapidamente. Ele se viu sozinho com nada além de seu roupão nas costas e chinelos nos pés. Um amigo o ofereceu uma mala e o aconselhou a ir embora. Porém, essa mala era especial: ela podia voar! Então, o rapazinho decidiu ir à Turquia, onde suas roupas não seriam notadas. Este era só o início da aventura.
