Kate is a cat that has been indoors for her whole life, but she accidentally gets stuck outside one day. She's scared at first, but she manages to meet a wild squirrel named Sam and a wild bird named Bob. They teach her about what it's like to live outdoors. Kate decides to still live as an indoor cat after her owners find her, but she is no longer as afraid of the outdoors. Sam and Bob soon start visiting her at her home.

Diane loves soccer and has a lucky ball of her own. When the coach calls her into the office, Diane forgets to bring her ball with her. When she comes back out, she finds that the ball is missing and she knows that she needs to solve the mystery before it is too late.

What she never realized is that the things she is telling others eventually do hurt others. When she begins to share gossip, one of the people impacted by the gossip overhears it and confronts her.

When others shared, she would be the first person to step up and accept the goodies of others. However, in the park after school, she met a couple of kids who had nothing and learns about the power of sharing with others and how giving a little can make a significant difference in the lives of those without.

Kevin is excited because his favorite dog Bella has just given birth to a new set of puppies while he was at school. Rushing outside to see them, he is surprised to see a blue puppy in the mix. Since he can talk to animals, he tries to get Bella's attention, but she is snoring away and can't be disturbed. With Bella is asleep, he can't ask her what is going on and he decides to investigate the situation to figure out why one puppy is blue, and none of the others are, on his own.

Luther Lion just wants to go outside and play with his friends. Right before the recess bell rings, Abigail Armadillo answers the last math problem of the morning and wins a prize. Angry, Luther reaches over and grabs her hair and pulls it, causing her to cry. Since the teacher had her back turned and Abigail couldn't see who did it, Luther blames Thomas Turkey who gets sent to the principal's office for hurting his classmate. When he goes outside, Luther isn't proud about what he did.

Cassie moves from the city into the home of her Nana. Her parents are off to attend to the rainforests in South America. They often send her odd gifts and notes about how important it is to follow her heart and to protect the plants and animals around her. Cassie explores the meadow. She makes friends with the animals and learns the names of the plants. She is haunted by a face she finds, looking up at her from the pond. Although it looks just like her, it is not her reflection!

On her way home from school, Cassie sees that someone posted a sign that says that they're looking for a lost parrot. The parrot's original owners said that they would give seven hundred dollars to the person who found it. Cassie tries to get her friends Jane and Anna to help her find the parrot. Anna thinks they shouldn't take the parrot back to the owners since she knows the owners don't treat the parrot well. Jane thinks they should return the parrot and split the money three ways evenly.

Sometimes very small things that don't seem to matter can make a big difference to someone. A tuft that was worthless to one person becomes very valuable to another. We can find great value to a thing if we see it through a different perspective.
