Witches are descending on Hemlock Cove and the town is gearing up for mayhem. Hemlock Cove is mired in a cold snap, which means the town is calm and quiet. That all changes in an instant when a beer truck tips over on the highway and half the town shows up to get drunk. Bay Winchester is about to be the sole owner of the town newspaper so she heads out to take photos...and accidentally stumbles over several bodies. It seems there’s a serial killer on the loose, although no one can figure out if the dump site was convenient or if the killer is local.

Aisling Grimlock should be happy. She’s living with and engaged to the man of her dreams, her mother isn’t eating people...at least out in the open, her best friend is distracted by wedding details...mostly, and there are zombies running around Detroit. Yeah, it’s that last one that’s driving her crazy...especially because no one in her family believes her when she spouts the tall tale. Aisling Grimlock is a reaper in trouble. She’s got big decisions in front of her and nonstop trouble chasing behind. The dead appear to be rising...and they’ve got their eyes on Aisling.

Weddings are supposed to be all about white veils, flowers and happily ever after. For Aisling Grimlock, she wants the ending … but the journey isn’t quite finished. Ever since her mother returned from the dead almost a year prior, Aisling has been riddled with doubts. Is Lily Grimlock a killer? What does she ultimately want? Hemlock Cove may be a town where real witches are pretending to be humans pretending to be witches, but something legitimately strange is afoot. What looks to be an aircraft of some sort goes down in Potter’s Field and, of course, every looky-loo in the area turns out to watch it burn. When the federal government shows up to take over the scene and shuts down access to the site, Bay Winchester is suspicious. Things only get worse when her boyfriend Landon Michaels is ordered to abstain from sharing information from her.

Landon is happy to spend time with Bay, but things shift a bit when a local woman goes missing and Bay becomes obsessed with finding her. Since she's a witch and magic - and occasionally mayhem - follows Bay wherever she goes, Landon has his hands full putting on a good show for his co-workers and helping Bay stay out of trouble. Landon is determined to prove that he can have it all, a magical girlfriend and her wacky family included. To get what he wants, though, he has to make it through a tough weekend...oh, and solve a crime on the side.

When her father approaches her with an opportunity to serve as an in-house psychic for the opening of his new inn, Clove jumps at the chance. It will be an opportunity for her and Sam to spend some much-needed time alone - and have some fun in the process. Of course, since she's a Winchester witch, nothing goes as planned.

When a local group home for orphaned children goes up in smoke right before the holidays, Tillie Winchester volunteers her family to take in some kids - even though her arch nemesis Margaret Little is dead-set against it. Three boys - all of them with a little attitude - have no idea what to expect from the Winchester household. Tillie is determined to prove the boys are innocent while also finding them a forever home...even if she has to take on a local judge and declare all-out war.

Avery Shaw has the world at her fingertips...and a pile of dead Santas near the railroad tracks. Interestingly, she’s more focused on the Santas than her personal life, but only because she’s been warned that a proposal is imminent from her live-in love Eliot Kane and she needs to look somewhere else - anywhere else will do - rather than accept what he’s trying to offer. Avery never pictured herself married but it appears it might be happening...no matter how she tries to dodge and weave. The Santas make an enticing distraction, so Avery throws herself in with gusto.

A series of storms hits, and the Michigan populace starts turning downright dangerous. Aisling is convinced the storms are magical in origin. Of course, because she’s prone to theatrical fits, no one believes her...until the storms hit too close to home, and Aisling herself is in danger from the one person she trusts above all others. As a cop, Griffin Davenport is used to putting his life on the line. What he’s not comfortable with is being a threat to the people he’s supposed to be helping. The storms, you see, don’t affect reapers, but those they love are in a heap of danger.

Avery Shaw is having a bad week. First, she had to cover a story on a barricaded gunman who likes to dance naked in his window. Second, she's receiving death threats with her morning newspaper. Lastly, and most importantly, her mom keeps vetoing her outfit choices. It's all in a day's work for this hardworking, if easily distracted, reporter. Avery Shaw is hot on the trail of the story, even if it means tangling with her hot ex-boyfriend - the county sheriff - and the equally hot, if slightly shadier pawnshop owner down the street.

Hemlock Cove is buzzing with activity - and very little of it has to do with Thanksgiving. The town is christening a new wishing well - dedicated by Mrs. Little herself - and Landon and Bay are eager to attend the unveiling. When Overlook helper Belinda gets a chance to go to a special conference and learn about opening her own business, Thistle volunteers to watch Belinda's daughter Annie. Thistle was the queen of rotten children so she thinks Annie will be easy. That feeling only lasts until Annie disappears into the frigid woods surrounding Hemlock Cove. Answers are never easy, and when clues start rolling in, Thistle and Aunt Tillie are left to piece together a puzzle that is years in the making and could have dire consequences.

Great-Aunt Tillie is selling wine at the curb of The Overlook - like it's a lemonade stand - and her mother and aunts are about to burn someone at the stake. Unfortunately, it's up to her and cousin Bay to put out the fire. When the two cousins take a stand, they're interrupted by the arrival of an injured and dazed little girl. She won't speak, and she appears to have undergone some sort of trauma.

FBI Agent Landon Michaels is looking forward to a weekend of fun and ease with his witchy love, Bay Winchester. Unfortunately for him, relaxation isn't in the cards. When his boss hands him a cold case from Hemlock Cove before he leaves for an extended weekend, Landon is annoyed. When Thistle Winchester gets a vision from the file, bother turns to intrigue.

Avery Shaw has taken on her fair share of jerks. Often, she’s considered the jerk when she takes them down...a role she gladly relishes. Now, though, she’s taking on a whole faction of jerks. It seems a battle of the sexes is brewing in Macomb County. A local shock jock, a man who believes women should be home tending children and keeping the house clean while men bring home the bacon, is on trial for sexually harassing his underlings.

An accident renders Aunt Tillie unconscious in the hospital, and when Bay and Landon fall asleep while sitting vigil, they're transported to a scary world: Aunt Tillie's mind. Camping is supposed to be a peaceful and relaxing time...unless you're Avery Shaw, of course. No, when you're Macomb County's most intrepid reporter, camping is akin to murder...or a very slow and painful death by disease-carrying bugs. That's what Avery thinks as she takes a well-earned vacation with her boyfriend Eliot Kane. When the duo stumbles across a body at a local festival, Eliot has to force Avery to ease up on the suspicion and embrace the vacation decadence. She's out of her coverage area, after all, and she's supposed to be taking it easy.
