Trata-se de debater o gosto e os significados culturais em torno da atmosfera sinistra presente nos filmes de terror, programas policialescos e a comoção gerada em em séries e documentários sobre assassinatos que relatam acontecimentos reais. A relação entre consumo, inconsciente, cultura de massas e o medo será abordada, enfatizando estes considerados estranhos comportamentos sociais.
