Charlie and Tommy have big plans for Halloween. They hope to get out of taking their little sisters around and go trick-or-treating in Alex's upscale neighborhood instead. There they'll get tons more candy, they'll be on their own, and afterwards they'll get to attend the sleepover at Alex's house. But when Charlie finds out that the entertainment at the party is to consist of the Scariest Horror Movies Ever, he is struck by panic.

Ben, a little boy from an isolated orphanage, delighted by the beauty of Christmas in the neighboring town, decides to embark on a thrilling adventure to discover the holiday he has never experienced. To fulfill his dream, the boy must overcome his fears. His only hope to be noticed by the townspeople is the accordion with which he hopes to charm their hearts. To learn to play this instrument, Ben must begin to face the taunts of the children in the orphanage.

Meet Willam, Harold, and Lew Christensen, three small-town Utah boys who caught the ballet bug from an uncle in the early 1900s. They performed alongside elephants on vaudeville and even put on a ballet featuring gangsters at a gas station. Russian immigrants shared the story of The Nutcracker with them, and during World War II, they staged their own Christmastime production. It was the beginning of a delightful holiday tradition.
