Eight years ago Moose Malloy and cute little redhead Velma were getting married - until someone framed Malloy for armed robbery. Now his stretch is up and he wants Velma back. Raymond Chandler gilt mit seinem umfangreichen Werk als Pionier des modernen amerikanischen Kriminalromans. Ja, die attraktive Rothaarige wird so fatal von ihrer Vergangenheit eingeholt, dass Marlowe schwach wird und ihr beizustehen beginnt.
