America's system of colleges and universities was once the best in the world. It contributed immeasurably to America's status as the most powerful, productive, and prosperous nation on the globe. Unfortunately, those days are long gone. Today from kindergarten through twelfth grade in the government school system, teaching reading, writing, and math have been supplanted by Marxist indoctrination. Our colleges and universities have become the final training grounds and launching pads for the next waves of Marxist activists.

After the death of his mother, Neewa the black bear cub, is captured by Challoner, the woodsman. Neewa soon learns that the woodsman and his Husky pup, Miki, are his friends. The bear and the dog become inseparable playmates. But their fun and games become of secondary importance when Challoner’s canoe overturns in river rapids causing the two to become separated from Challoner and finally responsible for their own survival in the wilderness.

Far in the future exist two Earth empires, separated by a weapon-projected wall of space and poised for war. And George Marquis Lorrilard, a sometime lieutenant in the United Continents Space Navy (that pitiful handful of space guards) and now a space exploiter supposedly driven by greed, must change the fate of Earth and the stars.
