The world is no longer safe for the Dragon Rider Murtagh and his dragon, Thorn. An evil king has been toppled, and they are left to face the consequences of the reluctant role they played in his reign of terror. Now they are hated and alone, exiled to the outskirts of society. En Alagaësia, des mois se sont écoulés depuis la chute du tyran Galbatorix. Murtagh le Dragonnier et son dragon Thorn sont toujours considérés comme des traîtres et des meurtriers, car le royaume ignore l’aide qu’ils ont apportée à Eragon et Nasuada. Ils vivent en parias, à l’abri des regards. Mais la rumeur d’étranges évènements, aux confins de l’Alagaësia, ravivent de douloureux souvenirs pour Murtagh et Thorn. Et nul ne peut se soustraire à son destin. Commence alors pour nos héros un voyage épique à travers des terres à la fois familières et inexplorées.

Seit Galbatorix’ Sturz sind Murtagh und sein Drache verhasst und von allen Völkern verachtet, obwohl sie dem grausamen König nicht aus freien Stücken gedient haben. Als ein Flüstern und Raunen durchs Land geht von brüchiger Erde und Schwefelhauch, spürt Murtagh, dass etwas Böses in den Schatten von Alagaësia lauert. Damit beginnt eine epische Reise ins Unbekannte.

Het verhaal van een van de favoriete personages van de fans: Murtagh De wereld is niet langer veilig voor Drakenrijder Murtagh en zijn draak Thoorn. Nu de duistere koning is gedood, moeten ze de consequenties ondergaan van hun – weliswaar onvrijwillige – rol gedurende zijn schrikbewind. Ze worden gehaat en zijn verworden tot verschoppelingen. Door het land klinken fluisterende stemmen over zwartgeblakerde aarde en de geur van zwavel. Murtagh vermoedt dat er iets kwaadaardigs in de schaduwen van Alagaësia schuilt.

Ahora son odiados y están solos, exiliados a las afueras de la sociedad.
