Story
America is at war, but most of its citizens don't know it. Covert information warfare is being waged by world powers, rogue states - such as Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea - and even terrorist groups like ISIS. This conflict has been designed to defeat and ultimately destroy the United States. This new type of warfare is part of the Information Age that has come to dominate our lives.

Story
While mainstream media pundits touted Hillary Clinton's inevitable coronation as president in 2016, AFP staunchly stood alone, warning that her and Bill's inexcusable crimes against women, rampant corruption, and illegal weapons trafficking in Benghazi would ultimately bring about her demise. Whereas conservative news outlets such as Fox hint at various scandals, they don't possess the courage to expose those issues which AFP has regularly covered for the past decade.

Story
In my humble opinion, I find it difficult to understand how detractors of the investigation or any fair-minded person for that matter could say this investigation was not warranted, or even that it was a total waste of time. Unfortunately, partisan politics entered the picture. The Obama administration was facing re-election, and the Democratic Party wanted to prevent any bad news from hampering their chances to gain power in the House and Senate.

Story
Today's radical Islamist terrorist could be just a breath away from you now: a fellow student, a fellow employee or even the soldier in the next bunk. Americans today are facing an alarming new terrorist threat: "self-radicalized" terrorists. Unlike previous "sleepers" like the 9/11 hijackers who infiltrated the United States from abroad, this new breed of "self-radicalized" terrorists come from within. Many are natural-born Americans or immigrants to the US who over time radicalized themselves.

August 21, 2013: A chemical weapons attack on the suburbs of Damascus reminds the world of the existence of the Syrian war. Hundreds of journalists from every corner of the world rush to the frontier only to leave disappointed when Obama decides not to bomb. Story
Osama bin Laden was the most wanted man in American history - an enemy who brought the United States what President George W. Bush called “a day of fire”, and ushered in a new era of terrorism. It took a decade of blood and sacrifice, of determination and frustration, but finally, in a nighttime raid at the end of a dirt road in Pakistan, the hunt for Bin Laden ended with a gunshot. It was a dramatic climax to a long and painful chapter. But now what?

Story
Ego: The Fall of the Twin Towers and the Rise of an Enlightened Humanity by Peter Baumann and Michael W. Taft is the first book to explore the positive evolutionary potential hidden in one of the most destructive events in history. In their examination of the evolutionary implications of 9/11 and its aftermath, the authors contend we are not falling into the grip of a new dark age at all; rather, we are on the verge of a much brighter one as the Darwinian process of natural selection continues to advance humankind.

In The Safety of the Kingdom, J. Michael Martinez takes up the question of how the United States government has responded to terrorist attacks and, in the absence of an attack, the fear of foreign and subversive elements that may harm the nation. In some cases the government “overreaction” led to a series of abuses that amplified the severity of the original threat.

The monstrous act of terrorism has caused many a grief that they have had to live with throughout their lives. To terrorism, many have lost loved ones, many have had their innocence ripped apart and even faced the harshest brutality that no one would ever believe humans have the capacity to commit. One wonders and many questions then begin to clog the mind as to whether terrorists really do have conscience and whether their happiness is hinged on the grave atrocities they commit on a daily basis.

On March 6, 2013, Senator Paul filibustered the nomination of John Brennan as CIA Director in an effort to draw public attention to the Obama administration's policies on drone warfare. Attorney General Holder had recently suggested that it is lawful to conduct drone strikes against US citizens on American soil. The public's positive reaction to the filibuster established Paul as a Republican whose libertarian ideals can appeal to voters on both sides of the aisle.
