    Ambient music composer Symphocat with a new audio work. Winter in Saint Petersburg presents a sound art work with field recordings collected in Saint Petersburg. The half-hour composition begins with echoes of the anthem of the Russian Empire "God Save the Tsar" played on a trumpet by a street musician near the Palace Square. Next, the listener begins a journey along Gorokhovaya Street, one of the central rays on the city map, the middle of the three central highways of St. Petersburg, fanning out from the Admiralty and closing in a triangle with Sadovaya Street. The sound of the streets fades at the intersection with Sadovaya Street, where the ephemeral traveler plunges into the metro on Sennaya Square, contemplating the labyrinths of echoes. The sound space gradually changes and draws the listener into the subway cars, plunging into the tides of noise on the way to infinity. At some point, it seems that a single ray of light breaks through the dark haze of underground highways and there is a splash of accumulated states that turns into catharsis. In the final part of the composition, the train comes out of the tunnel as an echo of the past, lost in the depths of consciousness. The listener goes through a quiet place to the light, waking up in the bright catholic church of St. Catherine on Nevsky street. A quiet space filled remotely with the sounds of the city outside the church walls. Gradually, sound interpretations dissolve doubts and bring sharp focus to space, illuminating with warm tides of atonal sounds of the strings and organ.   • hEar 01: Symphocat - Metarave

    Ambient music composer Ilya Symphocat presents a series of audio recordings under the name hEar, filled with live performances and field recordings made by the musician. A recording of a live performance made at secret festival Meta Rave: Think As Forest from Trans Cyberian community on the Finnish Gulf became special for musician, ending a period of isolation that lasted 3 months due to a worldwide pandemic. During the live performance in the early morning on a small hill covered with sand and coniferous trees, live from Symphocat was accompanied by refreshing rain, sounds of waves from the Finnish Gulf and gusty wind. It should saying that in the live act were performed and paraphrased as the original compositions of the author and remixes of musicians Chronos, Art Electronix, Abjective, Aveorm.
