ft. Sonica Aron, Managing Partner, Marching Sheep

  • Summary

  • The future is inclusive. And to build that, we need the present to consider it. How many of us have a person from the queer community as colleagues? Maybe the media sector has more people as it is comparatively quite inclusive but then again policies rarely include them. Introducing a third check box in the gender section is not enough, and just having a PR exercise or rainbow-ing the logos in Pride month is just show-off.

To talk about all this and more, we had Sonica Aron, Managing Partner at Marching Sheep- an HR Consultancy that helps businesses be more inclusive. We cover important issues- to begin with- identifying the lack of diversity, to training staff to be more more accommodating and understanding of the queer folks, implementing policies and including them in existing policies, etc.

We also discuss inclusion with reference to persons with disability, special needs, learning disabilities, etc as well.
