Wythnos Sanctaidd 1/ Holy Week 1: Gwrandewch i Gefn Gwlad/ Listen to the countryside

  • Summary

  • During Holy Week, we are releasing two podcasts. This episode is about the controversy surrounding the Welsh Government's Consultation on Sustainable Farming. It is largely in the Welsh language. Many farmers and rural communities are concerned about its long term economic and social implications. Rev. Aneurin Owen, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Wales (PCW), interviews three farmers about their reaction to the proposed scheme. The podcast ends with an epilogue from the Rev. Nan Powell Davies, General Secretary of the PCW, musing on the hazzards of walking and eating raspberries.

Yn ystod yr Wythnos Sanctaidd, rydym yn rhyddhau dau bodlediad. Mae'r bennod hon yn ymwneud â'r ddadl ynghylch Ymgynghoriad Llywodraeth Cymru ar Ffermio Cynaliadwy. Mae'n bennaf yn yr iaith Gymraeg. Mae llawer o ffermwyr a chymunedau gwledig yn pryderu am ei oblygiadau economaidd a chymdeithasol hirdymor. Mae'r Parch. Aneurin Owen, Llywydd Eglwys Bresbyteraidd Cymru (EBC), yn cyfweld tri ffermwr am eu hymateb i'r cynllun arfaethedig. Daw'r podlediad i ben gydag epilog gan y Parch. Nan Powell Davies, Ysgrifennydd Cyffredinol EBC, yn myfyrio ar beryglon cerdded a bwyta mafon.
