  • Toccara's journey as a black woman, a survivor of childhood sexual assault, a professional athlete and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community has provided refuge to stretch, disrupt, and tell her story. Founder of 'Toccara Renee', an ecosystem that through her collective experiences empowers and strengthens the voice of others, providing space for them to deal with trauma, fear, and insecurities. Through storytelling and self publishing Toccara curates a safe haven for untapped communities.

    A graduate of Iowa State University, with triple undergraduate degrees in Communications,  Speech and Gender Studies. Toccara went on to gain her Masters from UW- Milwaukee in the Cultural Foundations of Education. She continues her Fifteenth year journey as an international athlete which has served as an avenue to explore her wildest dreams of traversing the globe, while enthralled in the complexities of culture and conflict.
