  • Woman of the Hour directed by and starring Anna Kendrick, is a film based on the true story of how Rodney Alcala was able to kill an estimated hundred plus women mostly during the 1970s. Cheryl Bradshaw (Kendrick) visits a game show called "The Dating Game" where Alcala was a contestant. Alcala was actively killing women at the time of his appearance on the show.

    The film explores the gender dynamics at the time that very likely helped create a perfect environment for a monster like Alcala. Ryan and Mark give the film an 8 and 8.5, respectively. It is a Netflix film and that is all the more reason to see it sooner rather than later.
