    Apr 2 2025

From sales to coach, not only a coach, but a GREAT one. Coaching football made Calvin feel so fulfilled. Calvin lost both his grandparents within one week of each other. A conversation he had with his uncle shortly after changed the trajectory of his career. Today’s episode is encouragement to quit chasing titles and do what God has put on your heart.

    In this episode, you’ll discover…

How Calvin left titles behind. (8:25)

Share your story of God's faithfulness with your kids. (15:45)

What is One and O? (16:57)

Priorities when work never stops as a head coach. (21:08)

    Calvin’s Bio:

In his two seasons leading the CHCA Football Program, Renfroe and his staff have compiled a record of 14-6, including an MVC Championship, and a birth in the OHSAA Playoffs.

Under Renfroe’s leadership, the CHCA football program has accomplished the following:

    • MVC Conference Champions (2024)

    • 2 All-OHSAA Honorees

    • Multiple College Football Commitments

    • Numerous MVC All-Conference Honorees

    • 2 MVC Conference Players of the Year

Prior to his current role at CHCA, Renfroe served as the Offensive Coordinator, Quarterbacks Coach, and Recruiting Coordinator at Olivet Nazarene University (NAIA) from 2017-2022. During his time at ONU, his offense averaged over 36 points per game, 400+ yards per game, and had an Offensive All-American & Academic All-American every season. Employing an explosive offensive attack, he led ONU to three bowl wins in five seasons and a national playoff appearance in 2020.

Prior to joining Olivet Nazarene, Renfroe was an Executive Sales leader for Oracle and was based in Atlanta, Georgia. While there, he also coached at Johnson Ferry Christian Academy, winning the Georgia state championship in 2015 and earning two additional title game appearances. After his grandparents passed away, he had a strong conviction to enter coaching full-time and to use football as a ministry.

Renfroe played collegiate football at Trinity International University from 2003 to 2006. During his Trojan tenure, the team achieved two top-20 national rankings and earned a trip to the NAIA National Playoffs.

Renfroe's coaching philosophy is to "equip young men to rise up and become the next generation of leaders for Christ while pursuing football excellence."

Calvin and his wife Lisa live and serve in Cincinnati with their three kids Jaxson, Lyla, and Laney May.

  • Creating a strong relationship with your college daughter, with Kiley Carlson (my college daughter)
    Mar 5 2025

How do our kids really feel? You may think you are communicating enough, but do they? I sat down with Kiley, my 20-year-old daughter. The day this episode was recorded, we went to lunch. I found out the way I was communicating was not what she wanted - and in turn, not what she needed. The way we communicate with our kids has to be in a way that they will receive it. If you have children of any age, this episode can be very beneficial for your relationship. Enjoy.

    In this episode, you’ll discover…

What is Kiley most proud of from her college experience 3:05)

Writing a letter to herself. (5:26)

Are you giving your kids enough? (14:09)

    Kylie’s Spiritual growth moment. (24:49)

    Kiley’s Bio:

I am a third-year student in my undergrad program at the University of South Carolina. I have been on the USC President's List for the past two years of my undergrad and hope to continue this during my last year!

I am studying Criminology and Psychology, and hope to follow my undergrad program with a Masters in Criminal Justice.
