Who Shat On The Floor At My Wedding? And Other Crimes

By: Who shat on the floor at my wedding? And other crimes
  • Summary

  • Who Shat On The Floor At My Wedding? was a question shared by brides Helen McLaughlin and Karen Whitehouse after they tied the knot on 11 August, 2018 on a boat in Amsterdam. It was a question that launched a podcast, which led to the hiring of unqualified detective Lauren Kilby, the purchase of a €99 lie detector, and the bothering of some of the world’s best forensic experts - all in an attempt to find out “poo dunnit”.

For season 2, the investigative trio is back with a brand new mystery set in Sweden (Scandi Noir if you will) called The Case Of The Tiny Suit/Case. They now live by the phrase “when the cops say no, we say yes”. This season explores a serial act of reverse theft: a tiny three piece corduroy suit and a suitcase containing threatening items were planted on the victim’s veranda in the middle of nowhere. Our forensic experts are also back on board, not because they want to be, but because we asked really really nicely, (and Karen can be unnervingly persuasive).

I need a doco!!

My only complaint is that this isn’t a full blown documentary! This is hands down one of the greatest podcasts I have ever listened to, I was absolutely howling with laughter from start to finish. Someone PLEASE get these gals on Netflix!!

absolutely ridiculous

Think binge watching Wellington Paranormal- the brand of Kiwi humour that is comedy in absurdity. I did find it amusing, but it was pretty drawn out.
