Listen... as a fellow kid from Queens like Peter Parker, I'm bound to like every Spider-Man movie by default. But I'd be lying if I said that Spider-Man: Brand New Day was just good or okay. NOPE. It's GREAT!

Peter goes through A LOT (when doesn't he tho?) and then some trying to fight someone mentally, Hulk (kinda) be Hulking, the Punisher is a part-time baby sitter and MJ has the NERVE to friend-zone your friendly neighborhood Super-enhanced Human Spider???

I don’t think Supergirl is a terrible movie. I just think it made one huge storytelling mistake, and everything else had to fight uphill because of it.

We got some backwards structure, Kara’s arc, the performances, what landed, what fell flat, and why this movie (most likely) will bomb in the box office.

Mortal Kombat 2 finally feels like somebody involved actually PLAYED the games 😭🔥

After the 2021 movie gave us Cole Young and a weirdly watered-down version of Mortal Kombat, this sequel goes way harder with the violence, blood, fatalities, and overall energy fans were expecting the FIRST time around!

So I finally sat down and watched the Mario Galaxy movie, and I’m not gonna lie… it’s not as bad as people are saying.

But at the same time, coming off the 2023 Mario Movie, this definitely feels like a cooler step down.

This one leans way more into fan service and Easter eggs, which is cool if you’re already deep into Mario, but as an actual movie, it doesn’t always hit the same. Fox basically stepping into Donkey Kong’s role, Rosalina barely being used, and Bowser Jr. moving like he didn’t even need Bowser half the time.

Nintendo might’ve just made a huge mistake…With the Super Mario Galaxy movie right around the corner, they just CONFIRMED Star Fox (Fox McCloud) is in it… and honestly? That might’ve been something better left as a surprise.

Instead of a crazy theater reaction moment, now we’re all walking in wondering how big his role is, how long he’s in it, and whether he actually matters to the story.

Did Nintendo just raise expectations way too high for a character that could’ve had a perfect surprise cameo?

It’s the 20th anniversary of Get Rich or Die Tryin’, and honestly? The movie still doesn’t hold up. Let’s talk about why rushing this film to cash in on 50 Cent’s fame did it absolutely no favors.

In this episode, I revisit Get Rich or Die Tryin’ two decades later and break down why it failed as a movie despite 50 being at the peak of his popularity. Instead of taking the time to tell a fully developed story, the film feels rushed, shallow, and way more interested in riding momentum than doing the material justice.
