  • Summary

  • Sources of Strength PodcastEpisode #2 - #WhatHelpsUs, Anxiety, and COVID

On this episode of the HV Sources of Strength Podcast, our hosts Edison and Mr. Vena discuss launching the #WhatHelpsUs campaign as well as one of the big three emotions: anxiety. They discuss mental health, isolation, and school connection a year into the COVID-19 pandemic as well as COVID fatigue.

Sources of Strength is a best practice youth suicide prevention project that harnesses the power of peer social networks to encourage help seeking, change unhealthy norms, and break codes of silence and stigma around mental health. The Sources of Strength Podcast focuses on our resilience and the strengths we all have in our lives. It seeks to spread messages of hope, help, and strength throughout our school and community.

If you, a friend, or a loved one is experiencing a mental health crisis, help is available. Contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-237-TALK (8255) and suicidepreventionlifeline.org or the Crisis Textline by texting HOME to 741741.
