  • 35. Had Enough's Hip Hop Hour
    Aug 6 2020

In his 8th episode, it’s a two-fer, as Had Enough speaks with local artists SP@D3Z and JayLocke!

Antonio Porter, aka SP@D3Z, is a creator of his own genre, metal-trap, and has been playing since 2014. His music is a mix of dark metal screams, eerie hooks, and heavy bass. It’s definitely a crossover that lovers of hip hop and metal alike can enjoy. After his 2016 EP, Black Butterfly, SP@D3Z made a name for himself by letting people know about his personal battles with depression and anxiety. He wants his music to help the people who are battling with mental health issues, and help build them up. SP@D3Z is also about to drop a new album, Metal Woundz.

    Music featured: SP@D3Z – Riot

JayLocke started writing as young as 5 years old, about the time he was adopted. He started hitting the scene around 15, and has quickly developed a fan base in the Tulsa area. JayLocke says his music is meant to resonate with other young adults like him, and he writes about things that have heavily affected him. He is hands-on in his music by doing his own recording and mixing, and prides himself on being an original artist with no desire to imitate anyone. JayLocke feels that Tulsa homes a community of talented artists, and feel that collaborations are often underrated by others on the scene, but it’s something he personally values.

Music featured: JayLocke – Pull Up ft. Trip G
