"Outland" was released  in May 1981 and was written and directed by Peter Hyams. Outland received an Oscar nomination for best sound and while not being known as a great Sci-Fi Drama, it has built a big cult following over the decades. If you're like me, and love Sean Connery in roles where he is a good cop in a bad place, then you'll love Outland!
