Welcome to WD3 Pod, a podcast all about the people, events, and history connected with WD3.

We’re launching soon, and we have some fantastic guests!

If you've just stumbled across this podcast, to be clear, WD3 is a postcode area in Hertfordshire in the UK with its towns Rickmansworth and Chorleywood and a number of smaller suburbs, villages, and hamlets including Croxley Green, Sarratt, and Maple Cross.

At its most Northern point, WD3 is a little under 30 miles from central London.

If there is anything the pandemic taught us, it’s that the local community spirit is alive and well.

But the truth is many of us spend our time plugged into our own smartphones, working away or on our own. Now that the world has opened up, it’s easy to feel disconnected to the place we live.

A podcast is a great way to connect with and learn about the people who make up the fabric of our community, and it doesn’t require us to be attached to our screens.

You can listen when it suits you.

On your Monday morning commute, your Wednesday evening dog walks, or your Friday afternoon gym session.

This podcast is for everyone who lives and works here.

Some of us have been here for many years; others are new to the area and, because of the pandemic, didn’t get the chance to meet as many people as they would have been able to under normal circumstances.

Of course… If you considering moving into the area, this podcast is perfect for you.

So we want to hear from you.

    Who deserves the spotlight?

    Who is your local hero?

    Where is the best walk?

What makes your local pub great?

What yearly event makes this place so special?

Are you running a local business?

Do you host a community event?

Would you like to shine a light on a charity?

Do you know someone who could tell us a story about the history of an area or local building?

If you work remotely from home and have an amazing small business, in many cases, there are people local to you who would love to be a customer. If they only knew you existed. We’d love to feature you too.

Over on our website wd3pod.com we have created pages for you to nominate a guest, be on the podcast, join the team or even sponsor the podcast.

The podcast will always be free to listen to.

So head over to WD3pod dot com, where you’ll find notes on each show and links to subscribe wherever you get your podcasts.

Oh, and one last thing… to make sure you don’t miss out on any of this, you can sign up on the website, where our team will send you a short weekly email letting you know who is on the show.

So please sign up, spread the word, and join us.

You’ll find everything over at WD3pod.com
