Understanding, Resources and Research - Parkinson's Disease

  • Summary

  • We're thrilled to sit down with Annie Long, the Senior Director of Community Education & Outreach at the Parkinson's Foundation. In her current role, Annie oversees the development and delivery of community-based education and empowerment programs for the Foundation throughout the southeast region.

Annie strives to strengthen relationships among Parkinson’s constituency and identifies new opportunities to partner and collaborate with outside entities. Annie also served as the Executive Director of PD Gladiators – a nonprofit organization focused on raising awareness of the importance of exercise for people with Parkinson’s disease and promoting a network of Parkinson’s-specific exercise programs in metro Atlanta. On a personal note, Annie’s mom was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2013.
