USMNT Lose 1-5 to Colombia

  • Summary

  • On June 8th, the USMNT had a friendly against Colombia and was crushed 1-5 a week before the Copa America. This should not be taken lightly when Colombia could be a potential QF opponent and being a FIFA top 20 team. Most of our players, who did well for their domestic clubs this season, looked awful instead of a couple. This was the worst defeat under Gregg Berhalter bringing his record to 6-0-4 since his rehiring. Changes need to be made before and after the Copa America, and one of them needs to be the manager if we want to be competitive at the 2026 WC on home soil. The USMNT were not the only the US soccer team to play over the weekend. The U23 team had a closed-door match against Japan and the U19/20 defeated Argentina 1-0 with Keyrol Figueroa getting the lone goal.
