  • Dundee United’s Ibrox masterplan and can Dundee weather the storm?
    Nov 21 2024

It’s a huge weekend for our twa teams as the Premiership resumes following the international hiatus.

Jim Goodwin is bullish about United’s hopes ahead of a testing trip to face Rangers in Glasgow.

How will the Tangerines line-up? Will Goodwin’s belief that the Tangerines can feed off Ibrox ‘negativity’ be reflected in the team’s approach?

Louis Moult is declared a potential late game-changer – if he makes the bench.

And we discuss Johnny Russell’s departure from Sporting Kansas City which has sparked hopes among some Arabs of a sentimental Tannadice return.

With horrible conditions predicted for Saturday, it’ll be the biggest test of Dundee’s newly re-laid surface. But more importantly, the visit of Hibs is declared a ‘must not lose’ showdown.

Will Scott Tiffoney be allowed to showcase his inner Crunchie from the start? And who will deputise for Ziyad Larkeche?

There’s also a debate over who should be between the sticks as Trevor Carson resumes training.

Twa Teams, One Street are back in the studio with Tom Duthie on hosting duties with Courier Sport writers George Cran and Alan Temple joined by Graeme Finnan.

  • Dundee’s injury nightmare and United’s secret to success
    Nov 14 2024

It’s the international break but there’s plenty for Twa Teams to get their teeth into.

Dundee could do with some good news but all they are getting is bad on the injury front – who can replace Ziyad Larkeche?

There’s plenty on the new stadium as well.

Plus the boys discuss Dundee United’s secret to success and which player they’ve won a watch with.

  • Dundee United’s fuzzy feeling as Dee defence disintegrates once again
    Nov 11 2024

Dundee United swept aside Ross County on Saturday with arguably their best 45 minutes of the campaign.

The guys discuss the joy of gid’ old-fashioned diving headers after Luca Stephenson’s superb opener, and salute the impact made by the on-loan Liverpool man.

The wing-backs were flying, the midfield purred and Sam Dalby continued his hot streak as he benefitted from a strike-partner. So, is this Jim Goodwin’s best XI, and shape? There was even time for a fairytale finale from Owen Stirton.

We also react to Goodwin’s new deal, with the United boss committing to Tannadice until the summer of 2026, at least.

Things are altogether less positive across the road.

With the second-worst defensive record in the Premiership, what is going on with Dundee’s defence? And more importantly, how do they fix it?

The team chat over whether the Dee’s issue is one of tactics, mentality, quality or desire following a 4-1 defeat at Aberdeen, during which the visitors played some decent stuff.

Twa Teams, One Street is back with Tam Duthie on hosting duties and Courier Sport writer Alan Temple joined by Graeme Finnan and Jim Spence.
