In 2019, Amazing Grace Spaces opened a shared dry and drug-free Housing Support project in South Wales, UK, for 5 females recovering from drug and/or alcohol dependency.
"We work with clients to help them progress in their recoveries, rebuild their lives and maintain a fulfilling lifestyle".
Their supported housing programme is based on the resident and their needs, combing a core schedule of activities with a flexible range of personalised support. Everything we do is underpinned by established evidence-based principals and delivered by our skilled and experienced team.
The Heartbeat Of The Project
"The project provides each resident with friendly recovery housing support that will guide a person through the different stages of their recovery. Grace House’s recovery housing pathway will provide opportunities for residents to develop life skills while in a supported environment. Residents must learn to maintain a tenancy and live by the rules of the house, learning to cope with the pressures of life with resorting to drugs or alcohol.
Everything is a collaboration: with those who commission us, the organisations we partner with, and the local community we work in. We want to make a difference together".
We chat to Caroline from Grace House as she shares the vision and the journey of breaking the cycle of women in addiction. Drawing from real-life experiences, we discover the passion behind the mission and hear about the dramatic effect a little help can have.
