Today, we’re diving into the 5th Beatitude, found in Matthew 5:7: “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” In a world where mercy was once seen as weakness, Jesus declares that mercy is a blessing! But what exactly is mercy? It’s loving kindness shown through acts of compassion, even toward the undeserving. It’s feeding the hungry, caring for the sick, and giving back when others expect nothing. Jesus says when we serve others with mercy, we are actually serving Him.
