In this video, me and Luca break down the case for why Donald Trump is the opportunistic choice for the progressive cause in the upcoming elections. We unpack what it means to make 'opportunistic' choices in service of a long term vision. How when we are rooted in our values, we can allow ourselves the freedom to look at a wide range of present options to make choices that are aligned with the long term future we envision rooted in these values. We also unpack some negative connotations that folks might have with the term "opportunism". We recorded this one right before Hurricane Helene hit Asheville. And I'm uploading this on a wifi hotspot. I feel conflicted about uploading it during this trying time and at the same time, my heart knows that discussing these choices and presenting a nuanced case for Trump is critical in this really important upcoming election. This video is not intended to convince you to vote for Trump. Hell (if I could vote), I hold a slight sliver of chance that come election time, I might vote for Harris.
