  • Supreme court if Trump flag issue
    Aug 22 2022

In June of 2020, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that flying a Trump flag on one's property is protected under the First Amendment. This ruling came as a result of a lower court's decision that the Trump flag constituted "fighting words" and was therefore not protected speech.
The Supreme Court's ruling is a victory for those who support the president and for those who believe in the right to free speech. It is also a reminder that the First Amendment protects all speech, even speech that some find offensive. Do you think flying a Trump flag is a form of protected speech?
