  • The Murder of Lawrence "Larry" King - PART I
    Jul 19 2022

We wanted to do an episode during June, for Pride month, about a case that needed to be heard and its victim who needed to be remembered. We found this case in a 2008 Newsweek article called "Young, Gay and Murdered in Junior High." In it the writer claims, "The Larry King shooting became the most prominent gay-bias crime since the murder of Matthew Shepard 10 years ago." However, after doing research, there may have been two victims here: Larry, who lost his life and his killer Brandon, who now spends his days in prison. We also have to question if this was a hate crime because Larry was gay, or bullying that was taken too far? We'll let you be the judge. But in a moment, the lives of two young teenagers were lost, and the adults in their lives could have possibly changed the outcome. Unfortunately, no one did and a tragedy unfolded. Let us know what you think!

Excuse the audio, first timers here, but we promise to get better!

Thank you for listening. We hope you enjoyed this episode and come back for more! Be sure to subscribe, rate and review

  • Tribute to the victims of the Uvalde school shooting
    Jun 21 2022

This week, we wanted to highlight the victims of the Uvalde school shooting. As 3 teachers ourselves, we felt it necessary to praise the heroic efforts of the teachers and students, whose lives tragically ended way too soon. We want our podcast to be about the victims and what better way to honor these young lives by remembering the way they chose to live. We hope and pray this will be the last time a senseless tragedy happens in our schools. Please take the time to learn about these heroes and the share the positivity of their lives. May it serve as lesson for all of us as a reminder of what they wanted to see in our world.

Excuse the audio, first timers here, but we promise to get better!

  • The 1977 Oklahoma Girl Scout Murders - 45 year anniversary - PART 1
    Jun 6 2022

On June 13, 1977 in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, 3 young girls ages 8-10 were brutally murdered while attending a Girl Scout summer camp. After 45 years, new evidence has recently been shared about their killer and a new documentary made to remember this tragic event. Join us as we delve into this case, investigating what happened to these precious victims, how investigators obtained the suspect, and the significance of how the Native American culture heavily influenced the case. We will also tell you what happened to the families and major players since the trial in 1979. You may think you know all there is to know about this case and it's outcome, but we take a fascinating, albeit creepy, detour into certain incidents during the investigation that may not have been previously explained, but are too mysterious not to question. And once you know the whole story, we'd like to know what you think, did Native American rituals and ceremonies allow the suspect to escape police custody? Or did the mystical and ancient powers of the Native Americans help to relay the ultimate justice to these young girls?

Excuse the audio, first timers here, but we promise to get better!
